Hoozukimaru Biography (Zanpakuto Bio)

Name: Hoozukimaru
Owner: Ikkaku Madarame
Hoozukimaru or Demon Light has a shikai release command of “Sakiro” meaning split. It will then transform into a straight-headed spear with wax wood shaft. On its shikai form, it has the ability to divide itself in three sections making it looks like a three-piece nunchaku.
It is owned by 3rd seated shinigami of 11th Division, Ikkaku Madarame who had been keeping it a secret that he already achieved the bankai form of his zanpakuto.
In its bankai form, called Ryuumon Hoozukimaru or Dragon Crest Demon Light, the fragile looking thing transforms into a gigantic weapon consisting of three ridiculously combined huge blades. He uses the side blades on battle and saves the last one, which is located above his head for finishing move. The bankai’s true strength lies on the one on top of Ikkaku’s head as it has the crest of the dragon and has immense destructive power.
The blades look awfully heavy and absurdly exaggerated in terms of size. But we are not hearing any complaints from Ikkaku and he seems to be yielding it quite good enough. Good for him.
